Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me if I meet the eligibility criteria before I apply?
No. Applications are reviewed once a complete application is received. Course work is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. When that evaluation is complete, if you need coursework, we will advise you by email and your file will remain open while you complete any outstanding requirements.
How long does the application process take?
A typical application can take approximately 12 weeks from start to finish. This timeframe depends on how long it takes to receive transcripts, reference forms, letters of good standing or other documentation, as required.
Can I expedite my application? I have a job offer.
No. To be fair to all applicants, we review and process documents and applications in the order that they are received.
I want to provide more information to support my application. Where do I send my documents?
You can email your PDF documentation to [email protected] or you can mail your documents to our office at 109 – 1034 Johnson Street, Victoria, BC, Canada V8V 3N7
I’ve ordered documents for my application but when I log in, I don’t see them in my file. What should I do?
If you’ve ordered documents for your application and you do not yet see your documents in your file, please contact the issuer of the document, or allow a minimum of 4 weeks for us to receive, review and add it to your file.
I’m not ready to apply but I want to start ordering supporting documentation to your office. Can I do this?
Yes. We can receive and keep documents, such as transcripts or references, on file for up to 3 years. When you submit an online application, we will add these documents to your file.
Can I transfer my registration with a college or other organization to the BCACC?
BCACC does not have a registration transfer agreement in place with other regulatory bodies or associations. The process detailed on the Apply Now page is the process that you would follow to apply for membership.
