As a BCACC student member, you have an option to purchase affordable professional liability insurance and commercial liability insurance through Michell & Abbott for the duration of your education including a possibility of extension as you pursue membership with the BCACC. Some conditions may apply.

To qualify, you must:
Be accepted as a student member of BCACC
Be enrolled in an accredited University Master of Counselling program (or in a related field)
Be under clinical supervision by a clinical supervisor approved by the University or BCACC
Graduating soon? Need professional liability insurance?
BCACC will offer you an opportunity to renew your student professional liability insurance for one year when you graduate under the following conditions:
- You have applied to become a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
- You are currently a BCACC Student Member
- You are under clinical supervision by a clinical supervisor:
- With a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience as a practicing counsellor or equivalent relevant experience and one of the following
- That is a registered member in good standing of a mental health profession
- That has provided evidence of advanced skills in clinical counselling
- Who holds a minimum of a master’s degree
