Types of Public Notifications

Notice of Resignations During Investigation

BCACC will notify the public if a Registered Clinical Counsellor has resigned his/her/their registration with BCACC during the investigation into a complaint matter or during a discipline hearing.

Consent Agreement

The RCC may enter into an agreement with BCACC for the purpose of resolving a complaint matter. These agreements may or may not contain admissions of wrongdoing (made by the Registered Clinical Counsellor). These agreements may involve a period of supervision and/or placing limitations on the RCCs practice for a certain length of time in order to address the issues(s) identified in the complaint and investigation process. BCACC monitors these agreements to ensure compliance. Some agreements may be subject to extension.

Decisions of the Conduct Review Committee

A decision report may be posted on BCACC’s website outlining the findings and/or actions taken against a Registered Clinical Counsellor after the Conduct Review Committee has conducted a discipline hearing.
